First of all, Happy New Year! The photos above are from the party we hosted at our apartment for NYE. There was a lot of laughs, champagne + treats and many rounds of catch phrase. It was so great to get a few of our new friends from Boston in one room and celebrate the new year. 2013 was SO great in many ways, I mean…I got married to Cody Klein. That made this year 100% better than previous years! I also was presented with many new opportunities and I am so grateful for every single one of them. Now that 2014 has arrived, it’s time to start making those goals that we hope to achieve. I love the idea of starting fresh + creating goals for ourselves and looking forward to many memories/opportunities that the new year will bring. I don’t necessarily make goals that are obvious – such as, “be healthy” –  I like to make short-term goals that I can really achieve and cross off my list. Here are a few of mine for 2014:

1. Finish the paperwork to complete my last name change. Yes, I have been slacking on this.

2. Grow my readership on my blog by collaborations, networking and posting more (which I have been working on during the last few weeks of 2013).

3. Improve With Love, Design by taking a business course online + read more books about entrepreneurship.

4. Cook at least 4 nights out of the week. We have been lazy in the past few months and now that I have discovered Peapod, a grocery + delivery online and app that you can select everything you need from the store and they collect all of the items and bring them to your door! Seriously, I know this sounds lazy but it’s so much easier to budget your money and saves time.

5. Build my wardrobe by only purchasing items that are great staples and worth every penny. No more cheap impulse buying.

6. Go to a designer and/or blogger conference!

What are some of your goals??

Hope your New Year was fantastic and you enjoyed the first day of 2014.

Cheers!
