This page explains how Jess Klein Studio collects and uses information when you visit this website or get in touch, how cookies and similar technologies are used here, and the terms that apply to your use of the site.
Privacy Policy
Who we are. Jess Klein Studio is an interior design studio. When this policy says “we”, “us” or “our”, it means Jess Klein Studio. If you have any questions about your information, email hello@jesskleinstudio.com.
Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we collect the details you choose to share, which can include:
- your name, email address and phone number
- the city and type of your project, when you’d like to start, and who lives in your home
- your furnishings and construction budgets
- how you heard about us, a description of your project, and anything else you add
We also keep the emails you send us and any information you share with us while we discuss or work on a project together.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site, we and the services we use may automatically collect technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and your approximate location based on your IP address. How we use your information. We use it:
- to reply to your enquiry and to plan and deliver our design services
- to process orders and deliveries if you buy from our shop
- to understand how the site is used, so we can improve it
- to keep the site secure and working properly
- to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Who we share it with. We share information only with service providers who help us run the site and our business, and only as much as they need to do so:
- Formspark, which receives contact form submissions and forwards them to us
- Google, through Google Tag Manager and the analytics tools it loads, which measure how the site is used
- Vercel, which hosts the website
- Sanity, which stores and delivers the site’s content and images
- Mux, which streams the videos on the site
- Shopify, which processes shop orders and payments if you buy from our shop
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our clients or the public.
How long we keep it. We keep enquiries and client correspondence for as long as we need them to respond to you, to carry out a project, and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. After that, we delete them or keep them in a form that no longer identifies you.
Your choices and rights. You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the UK and EU GDPR, such as the right to object to or restrict how we use your information, or to receive a copy of it. To make a request, email hello@jesskleinstudio.com. We’ll respond within the time the law requires, and we won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Security. We use reputable service providers and take reasonable steps to protect your information. No website or method of transmission is completely secure, though, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children. This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in much the same way. This site uses them for the following purposes.
Essential and preference storage. We store a small amount of information in your browser so the site works as you’d expect: whether you’ve accepted the cookie notice, display and accessibility preferences such as reduced motion, and, if you use our shop, an identifier for your shopping cart. This information stays in your browser and isn’t used to track you.
Analytics. We use Google Tag Manager to load analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, which use cookies to measure visits and how the site is used. This information is collected by Google and processed in accordance with Google’s privacy policy. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Third-party sites. Some pages link to products on other websites, including through affiliate programmes such as ShopMy. Those sites may set their own cookies when you visit them, under their own policies.
Managing cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data through their settings. If you block essential storage, some parts of the site, such as the shop cart, may not work properly.
Terms of Use
By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site.
Our content. All content on this site, including text, photography, designs and logos, belongs to Jess Klein Studio or is used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Photographs are credited to their photographers. You’re welcome to share links to our pages, but please don’t copy, reproduce or republish our content without our written permission.
No professional advice. The content on this site is for general inspiration and information. It isn’t professional design, construction or other advice for your particular project, and you shouldn’t rely on it as such.
Links and affiliate products. We link to other websites and products that we think you’ll like. Some of these are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no extra cost to you. We aren’t responsible for the content, products or policies of other websites.
Shop. If you buy from our shop, prices, availability, shipping and returns are as described at the time of purchase, and further terms may apply to your order.
Liability. We work to keep this site accurate and available, but it’s provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content.
