Niki here again for this week’s Wear This // Live There!

We really love this tree. Almost as much as we love open, airy, feminine details.

This backless dress from Pink Lagoon in La Jolla, CA is easily at the top of my list of summer favorites. It’s long and elegant with appropriate coverage throughout, yet the crisp cotton and open back make it so light and easy to throw on. This is a SANS BRA situation, so you have to be comfortable with that, but the style of this dress holds them in and up; never fear, moderately busty ladies! I think there is nothing sexier than subtly hidden frontal jewels and a freely exposed back.

This living space is the crisp, light equivalent to this dress. I’m itching to throw a dinner party there wearing this. The white details; i.e. art, mirror, light throw pillows, etc., against the white walls actually play up the natural light and accentuate each other with a tender, uncluttered quality, rather than washing it out. The minimal mixed-ethnic patterns in the rug and throw pillow against the warm wood grain of the floor and other details keep it from being too chilly. Despite the soft qualities and bright lighting, the clean lines keep this room from being exclusively feminine. And that’s unisexy.
