A few days before I left for Oklahoma, I was in panic mode attempting to put together outfits to pack. The weather was all over the place, changing by about 20 degrees from day/night, which makes it really difficult to know what to wear. I also needed a “game day” outfit for tailgating at my alma mater, Oklahoma State University.
Luckily, I knew exactly who to consult for some fashion guidance – my friend Conni Jespersen, a talented wardrobe stylist and blogger in San Diego! After she heard my dilemma, she introduced me to one of her services, Virtual Style Lookbook, where she has a consultation with you gaining detailed information about the event, photo shoot, date night, etc. you need help finding an outfit for and then puts together 3 looks for you based on your style needs. All for $20!!
Sure, I am an interior designer…so I should be able to put together an outfit, right? Well, most of the time this is not the case as I tend to ask my husband what I should wear and then I get overwhelmed and just wear something comfortable. 😉 I am lucky to have fashionable friends! Anyway, I was so incredibly happy with this service and wanted to share the looks she came up.Oklahoma State’s colors are orange, black and grey so I definitely wanted the outfits to have a pop of orange. Since we were going to do a bit of walking, I wanted to be comfortable and laid back. I think she did a phenomenal job – it was hard for me to choose one look! After a little shopping, I decided to go with a gingham shirt, orange scarf with jeans and some cute orange flats I scored on. I am looking forward to the many OSU watch parties in Boston where I will wear my gingham shirt + orange flats! So a HUGE thank you to Conni for the outfit inspiration!!
