So as I mentioned before, my new freelance business is With Love, Design.
I wanted to create something I could frame and hang in my office that would inspire me
as I am working away. I was sitting in my living room one afternoon and I noticed this
awesome shadow on our wall… it was the shadow from the orchid I just bought. So I ran to
my craft closet, grabbed a canvas and put it against the wall. Then I was able to
trace the amazing shape and paint it. and Voila!! Instant inspiration frame-worthy.
Do you need a little inspiration for your business??
I can totally paint something special for you.
I painted these for my boyfriend, Cody, for Christmas a couple of years ago.
He is a landscape architect and is a tree fanatic – he literally could name any tree
I point out. I wanted to paint something masculine and not cheesy so I decided
to do this mirrored image which was very challenging but that is what made it
so rewarding after I completed them.
This was a project my friend Ellie and I created for one of our
classes in college. It is an old record and a clock kit from a local craft store
then painted. If I were to go back and do this again,
I would have done a chevron pattern in some amazing colors.
The best part was when the clock started ticking.
We were jumping up and down (literally) so excited we
just created a clock.
I think I might make one of these with With Love, Design on it.
Eh?? Why not.
Well that is all. Painting is one of my true passions.
One of my favorite things is opening up new paint and
sitting in front of a blank canvas. There is so much
freedom lying right in front of you.
Happy Tuesday all.
Ahhh it's our clock! Haha love it! And I agree it would look so cute with a chevron pattern! Love all of your art and you!!
