Alright, this post goes out to all of you that will be hosting guests this holiday season. I have curated some items + tips to help make your family and friends feel right at home. Nothing says welcome like a guest room/space that mimics the personal touches of a good hotel.
1. Dress the nightstand with a water carafe, iphone charger/alarm, flowers, hand lotion and a candle. No one wants to feel really awkward getting up in the middle of the night trying to figure out where you keep your water glasses and I don’t know about you but I hate having dry skin yet always seem to forget my lotion when I travel.
2. Now this one is a must. Clean your towels and bedding so they are fresh. What I always do is place the extra towels, pillows & blankets in a basket with a few travel-sized items they might have forgotten. It’s small touches like that that make the difference.
3. Last, but definitely not least, add some personal touches… i really love the welcome pillow above and the idea of folded maps/journals for their stay. Even though most people use their phones to get around – it’s a fun takeaway for them! I also enjoy leaving a note with our wifi name + password…just small things like that to make visiting SO much fun!
