It seems everyone has started to switch over to natural deodorant if they haven’t already. This is one of the natural products professionals recommend switching first. This area is so close to your breasts and lymph nodes that there are studies stating the aluminum found in many deodorants is linked to breast cancer and Alzheimer’s. I’m not saying that’s a fact and I’m not a doctor. But I tell you, after losing my mom to stage 4 breast cancer at such an early age, I’m willing to rid of any toxin that I have control over. Can I get an amen?!
Aluminum is not meant to be absorbed in our bodies and it’s bad for the environment. Not only that but using a natural deodorant will help balance your hormones which is crucial for your overall health. So why not switch??
After a few months of testing a lot of all-natural deodorants, I have rounded up a few that worked for me and a couple that did not. That doesn’t mean the ones that didn’t work for me won’t work for you, because everyone’s body is different. But I thought this might be helpful to get you started in your switch to natural deodorant!
one – aesop’s spray deodorant // I wanted to love this one so bad…but it didn’t really work for me. I do love that it’s a spray and smells so good, but the price is really high and I think you really have to try this one exclusively for two weeks to see if works for you. I’ve heard great things about this one, so it may be worth trying! Rating: 4 out of 10
two – schmidt’s // one of my favorites that I’ve tried so far. My only complaint is with the rose vanilla one, it gets on my white shirts…but it does come out in the wash. I definitely rate this one high as it’s very effective, but I’m going to stick with the bergamot + lime and stay away from the rose since I wear a lot of white. Rating: 9 out of 10
three – AER by Vapour // this is another good one! I love that it goes on clear and smooth – it smells so good! This one is rated pretty high for me! Rating: 7.5 out of 10
four – crystal body deodorant // okay, this one is great. I have no complaints other than I wish it wasn’t such a weird shape as it makes it hard to travel with, but it looks great on your shelfie. 😉 good price too!
five – ursa major hoppin’ fresh // I love the way this one goes on and smells – the hoppin’ fresh worked better for me than their other options. But I do have to reapply 1-2 times throughout the day when I was testing it, but some people swear by this one. Rating: 7 out of 10
six – native // this one probably worked the best for me overall! The coconut is a little strong, I literally smell it throughout the day which is great if you love the smell of coconut. I think I’m going to try the fig & honey next – their prices are very reasonable! Rating: 9 out of 10
So now I have to know, which natural deodorant are you loving?? Any that you don’t see here?
Milk & Honey!
I will have to try Milk & Honey next! Thanks, Angelina!
