Good morning friends! I am back from Oklahoma and although I was able to get a little work done while I was away, I am returning to a lot of emails and many exciting projects. I will be glued to this computer for the next few days that’s for sure. And if you are reading this and I owe you an email, you will receive one soon! 😉
Just to recap the week: Oklahoma is always a refreshing break for me – I had the pleasure of visiting friends/family and attending my alma mater’s homecoming game (the best homecoming in the nation might I add). No, I am not kidding…just click here. The decks are made from chicken wire, and small tissue paper called pomps and glue. Lots of glue. Also, tailgating is no joke….it’s the best!
I will say, every time I return to Oklahoma, I am reminded at how simple and laid back life is there. People often fight over who will open the door for the next person (“no you go ahead, i’ve got it…”no you go”). There are few cities that compare to Oklahoma when it comes to good manners and kindness. I definitely miss that way of life but it also reminds me of how much I enjoy the chaos and excitement of a big city. I truly don’t believe I would be as inspired and motivated without living in Boston (or San Diego) and it feels good to be back!
Anyway, it’s early and I’ve got a lot to catch up on (including this blog). Happy Thursday friends!
