I have been getting really excited to share some photos of our studio, but they are doing some construction on our building and the natural light is little to none because they have a tarp covering our windows. Such a bummer because I know I have been holding out on you guys! Once they are complete (should be soon, I hope)…I promise we will share some photos!
I am still excited to show off my new art addition to our studio thanks to the lovely Elaine Meese, owner of the online shop Fields Prints. Her shop is filled with beautiful geometric and minimalist screen prints and paper goods. (These photos were taken in the entry area of our studio styled with some ceramics by Jill Rosenwald and Lawrence Mcrae.)
Elaine Meese is a design enthusiast out of Chicago that has an obsession with the art of simplicity. She’s a design consultant by day and created FIELDS Print Shop by night. FIELDS is an avenue for exploring the fundamentals of design. The prints reflect restraint and simplicity. It’s about getting back to the basics and focusing on form. FIELDS implements silk screen printing for its tangible quality and the limitations it imposes on color and rendering technique. How beautiful is that geometric gold pattern?! I also love that the print is 18×24″ – it’s such a good size for leaning on a shelf and making an impact.Do yourself a favor and check out more of her work here!
