Part-Time Studio Assistant – Jess Klein Studio (Boston, MA)

Jess Klein Studio is a Boston-based interior design firm known for thoughtful, refined spaces that balance elevated simplicity with personal connection. We’re currently seeking a Part-Time Studio Assistant to join our South Boston studio and support our team across day-to-day operations and active design projects.

This is an in-person position, ideal for someone organized, proactive, and eager to gain hands-on experience in the interior design world.

Location: South Boston Studio
Hours: ~20 hours/week
Start Date: Summer 2025​

Role & Responsibilities

Project & Studio Support

  • Sample library management 
  • Assist with sample procurement
  • Coordinate returns and pick up items for local projects
  • Drop off packages to FedEx, UPS, or local vendors as needed
  • Help prep for client meetings and install days (sample binders, materials, printouts, ordering lunch, etc.)
  • Maintain organization of project folders, schedules, and internal systems (e.g., timesheets, templates)

On Site Support

  • Assist with styling, unpacking, tagging returns, and documenting missing/damaged items
  • Help photograph and document behind-the-scenes content

What We’re Looking For

  • Based in the Boston area and available for in-studio work
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
  • Familiarity with or interest in interior design (education or experience a plus!)
  • AutoCAD / Sketchup is also a plus!
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to run local errands
