Sometimes I get so burnt out on paying bills, cleaning, doing laundry – working, working, working when I am not working (ah, freelance) and just life in general.  Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely adore working… just with everything else, it feels like I can’t even catch my breath. There comes a time when we must put down EVERYTHING, remind ourselves life is too short and just drive somewhere. There is truly nothing like the feeling of going down the road with good tunes, the windows down and not knowing where you are going – just straight. I am not talking the busy streets of downtown, I am talking the road that only has one car on it *and it’s normally a tractor (in Oklahoma at least). The one that takes you somewhere beautiful and you have no idea how you got there.

I so badly want to be freelance full-time…I think that is what pushes me to work extremely hard so I can get to that point. Freelancers, how did you become full-time freelance? If you are not full-time, how do you plan on getting to that point so you won’t hit the ground running like myself.

I so agree with you on making it a priority to relax once in awhile. While I don’t freelance, I have a full-time office job and tend to my blog when I can; and sometimes the combination of the two gets to be too much. I find there are days where I want to sit and do absolutely nothing, even though there are things to do, haha!

Keep up the freelancing and see where it leads. Especially if you have a passion for what you do!

I so love the feeling of being free and going down that same road. May God Bless you and steer you in the right direction and you will have what you are looking for. Love and miss you.

Jessica – ahh I can so relate to this post!! It’s exactly that – the monotonous tasks of life can wear us down. The silly things that feel like they sap our energy. I’ve heard that if you track how you spend your time it’s shocking how we actually spend a lot less time than we think doing chores, etc. I have yet to do this myself (haha) but try to remember that it’s not as much time as I think during the tasks. 😉 xo

Colleen – I definitely need to work on tracking my time, thank you for your comment! You are too sweet. 🙂
