Our new neighborhood is growing on me. 🙂 I mean, it’s pretty charming.
I fell in love with this mid-century bar cart from West Elm and finally got the urge to purchase it (I had a couple of gift cards from our wedding that have been burning a hole in my pocket)! Getting it home was quite hysterical…since we don’t drive here, (we take the subway everywhere) I decided to get an Uber to take it home. Once the Uber dropped me off – the wind took me by surprise and I couldn’t get a hold of the box all the way up to the front door…so I struggled getting it up to our apartment and then took about one-hour to put it together. When a designer wants a piece of furniture…there is no stopping her I suppose.
This was one of the best days thus far. I started the day with wonderful conversation over coffee at 1369 Coffee with a new friend I met via social media, Mary of Millay Vintage. She is absolutely lovely and we both share a crazy love for dogs + brunch with mimosas…so good to meet like-minded people here in Boston..it’s refreshing!
Then I decided to adventure around Cambridge to the BoConcept + Crate & Barrel stores. I was VERY inspired for my current design projects! How amazing is that art of the Cuban Lady smoking a cigar?! I REALLY want it…it’s unreal in person!
After these two photos, my phone died and I had to remember how to get to my next location by memory. I was extremely proud of myself for not relying on google maps to get to Newburry St. and then home on the T (subway). Good day indeed!!
Oh sweet lady, it made my day to make a new friend in you too — so happy to have you in Boston and can’t wait to have a get together and put that pretty bar cart to use!! xoxo
